As the King of Kings, He was the only one who could be victorious in the battle against satan, sin, and death, so He could rule on the throne of our hearts in Grace, forgiveness and love. In our reading from Isaiah, God challenges His children who spiritually would not hear or see His Word or live His will. In the Gospel Jesus heals a blind man who then also believes, spiritually sees with eyes of faith in contrast to the Pharisees who could physically see, but chose to be blind and reject Him as the Messiah.
